Unconfirmed reports say that two or three or even possibly four people have been arrested by police in connection with this. Our awyers and legal teams for sexual minorities are on it. I am told that there are plans by Muslims to use this to attack and incite others to hunt down LGBTI.

Malawian police have arrested a man for putting up gay-rights posters, amid a national debate over homosexuality - which is banned in Malawi.

Peter Sawali had put up posters saying: "Gay rights are human rights", on a main road in Blantyre, police said.

He was charged with conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

The first ever public lecture on Sexual Minority Rights in Kenya will be held at the Alliance Francaise on February 16th starting at 2pm. The keynote speaker will be Professor MAKAU W. MUTUA - Dean, SUNY, Distinguished Professor at Buffalow Law School, State University of New York.

 

All human rights defenders, activitists, sexual minorties and others are invited!
