Welcome to the Gay Activists Alliance international team  AFRICA -Kenya

 


The GAA was formed during the Stonewall riots in America in 1969 by dissident members of the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) and became active in 1970 campaigning for Human Rights of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community of America

Through the commitment of the GAA and the GLF the campaign for the Human Rights of the LGBT communities became more active and the beginning of the long struggle for acceptance that we also campaign for today

The GAAI team  AFRICA-Kenya are a non government funded equality and human rights campaign group and rely on donations to sustain it's global work

the GAAI team Africa-Kenya are a peacefull group,and individuals that campaign for the equality and human rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and other Gender Variant people in Africa

 

the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya are members and affilaited to the Internatioanal Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex association (ILGA), and Pan AFRICA ILGA

The Gay Activists Alliance international team AFRICA-Kenya thereafter for short, named the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya:-(established 2009)-- campaigning for Kenyan and other African peoples rights

 

the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya work towards fair and just societies globally-

 

the  GAAI  team AFRICA-Kenya are a campaign and lobby group to highlight equality and human rights abuses towards Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and other Gender Variant people, based in Kenya, campaigning for Kenyan and other African peoples rights

 

the GAAI  team AFRICA-Kenya may affiliate and lobby with other likewise campaign groups


the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya may from time to time and where permitted, promote, organise or may join in with peacefull  rallies for LGBTI equality and human rights

the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya will campaign in all areas that is presumed related to the equality and human rights of  LGBTI people in Africa

You do not have to be an LGBTI person to be a member or affiliated to the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya, but to believe that LGBTI people are entitled to the equality and human rights as all others

 

Mission Statement and Aims:


* the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya will campaign and lobby for the equality and human rights of the LGBTI and other Gender Variant people in Africa

 

* the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya will endeavour to help form up alliances between LGBTI groups, individuals and minority groups for the common goal of equality and human rights

 

* the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya through its website and discussion forums aims to bring LGBTI persons closer together and give a base to openly  discuss issues regarding their sexuality, oppression, discrmination and Lesbi, Gay, Bisexual, Tran's and Intersex, Homophobia and Transphobia

 

* the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya will endeavour to supply, wherever possible, educational resources and access to the worldwide- web to our affiliates

 

* the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya will provide links to other LGBTI campaign or essential service groups


* the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya will work towards uniting the international community towards equality for all sexualities


* the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya will campaign against and disclose equality, human rights, Homophobic and Transphobic abuse and attack

 

* the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya will promote equality for women's rights through out Africa, regardless of sexualality

 

* the GAAI team AFRICA -Krenya will promote and highlight the World AIDS Campaign (WAC)


* the GAAI team AFRICA-Kenya promotes non discrimination

 

*Our vision is to see that all  beings will be accepted as the same globally, regardless of colour, race, religion, gender, sexualality and disability or other self beliefs that don't infringe on the rights of others

 

 

* the GAAI website as been constructed for user friendliness and for persons with some forms of disabilities to be able access and use our services, we welcome any suggestions that may improve the website more
